Is from Lubbock, Texas and is now a full-time resident of Taos, New Mexico. She has performed in community theatre productions throughout her adult life in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, and New Mexico. If A Door Opens: A Journey With Frances Perkins is her first foray into playwriting and a one-woman performance. In another life Charlotte was an educator at both the secondary and university levels. First, she taught secondary Theatre Arts and English in Amarillo and McKinney,Texas. She received her master’s degree in deaf education from Texas Woman’s University and started a secondary deaf education program in Lawton, Oklahoma. Later, she received her doctorate in Special Education from Texas Tech, and taught at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Texas Woman’s University. She has spent over 30 years acting in community theaters.
