LubbockBTS_0006LubbockBTS_0001LubbockBTS_0002Before arriving in Lubbock, William Kerns, arts and entertainer editor for the Lubbock Avalanche -Journal interviewed me via telephone and wrote a great pre-show piece and later wrote a stunning review. Both articles appeared in the AJ and Mr. Kerns’ online blog (see reviews). The committee also arranged interviews on the Jim Douglass/ Dave King Foxtalk in the Morning show and the KRFE Morning Show with Kenny Ketner /Wade Wilkes.
On Wednesday, Sue Weninger, Cliff Ashby and I were at LCT to begin preparations for the one technical rehearsal that evening.Jay Brown, LCT artistic director, was on hand to assist. LubbockBTS_0007

All performances were sold out, which was quite thrilling. Every evening was a wonderful experience with terrific audiences. After each performance, the committee arranged a lovely reception where I had an opportunity to chat with audience members. The number one comment I heard over and over again was, “Why didn’t I know about Frances Perkins before now?” Audiences have consistently said the play was not only good, but also a great education.
