Audience Responds to If A Door Opens The Journey of Frances Perkins
Lubbock, Texas performance–
All my friends who came to see “If A Door Opens: A Journey With Frances Perkins,” loved the play and were so impressed with the personage of Frances Perkins and all she accomplished. Everyone thinks this needs to be performed everywhere. One of my guests thinks the play should be done in Washington, D.C. and mandatory for legislators to see.
Last night I attended Charlotte Keefe’s premiere, “If a Door Opens: A Journey with
Frances Perkins”. I highly recommend it.
If you are interested in theater; if you have an interest in well crafted, well acted one woman plays performed with pathos, intelligence, fire, and humor; if you are interested in social issues, and/or fascinating women who have been buried by history, then this one is for you.
Both Charlotte Keefe and Frances Perkins deserve a run of full houses and if last night’s enthusiastic, packed audience is anything to go by, they’ll get them.
WARNING: You might not be able to get this one out of your mind and out of your conversation for quite some time.
Saw the show last night. BRAVO!!!!!
Great writing and performance. You brought to life such an important woman.
Thank you and Congratulations,
Just a note to tell you again how fabulous you were in portraying Frances!, I will pass this on to everyone I know because they must see it. France’s Perkins was an outstanding women of her time and you are an outstanding woman of Taos to bring her to us!.
We just returned from your play and both thought it was just tremendous..a well told and preformed story.
